Self monitoring
The unlikely event of a hard drive failure can be disruptive to your business. But with HP's S.M.A.R.T. hard drives, you can stay ahead of the game and take precautions to keep your data in tact.

Get S.M.A.R.T.

Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology, or S.M.A.R.T., is a monitoring system for hard drives to detect and report on mechanical reliability, in the hope of anticipating failures in your hard drive.

Be prepared

You have plenty to think about every day, but when it comes to data preservation, HP's S.M.A.R.T. hard drives help do the thinking for you:
1.  S.M.A.R.T. technology is constantly monitoring your hard drive, looking for potential mechanical failures
2.  If anything is detected, your S.M.A.R.T. hard drive will warn you, alerting you in advance to take preventative action
3.  With warning from your HP Business Desktop PC, you can back up data to a second hard drive, a shared server or a removable storage device
"With so many choices in the IT industry, it's important that you have someone you trust. HP has earned that trust over time, and that's why we continue to do business with them."
Donald Duggan, Executive Vice President, Bank of the West
