Map your course in photos |
 |

|
 |
Whether you've planned your trip right down to the last detail, or you're just seeing where the wind takes you, bring
along a map to keep track of what photos were taken where.

This will help you better remember your trip when you return, and also serve as a nice complement to a slide show or scrapbook.

Keep equipment dry and protected |
 |

|
 |
The first thing you'll need is a protective case
for your camera. In the bustle of travel, it's easy for your hardware to get knocked around. HP has a variety of shapes, sizes and colours. A larger, specialized camera bag is also
helpful for extras. You'll most likely be carrying it for long periods of time, so make sure it's comfortable.

Make sure you can keep snapping |

Bring extra batteries

-
While one battery usually gets you through many days of photographing, traveling is different.
You'll have many opportunities to capture beautiful shots, and you may not have the time to stop and
charge up. Batteries will deplete even faster when you are using lots of flash shots.

-
If you do have a place you can plug in, consider using an HP Photosmart Quick Recharge Kit.
It will get you up and running faster than placing your camera in its dock.

Bring extra memory

-
While traveling, you may not have the chance to clear your memory card. Bring along two, or even three
extra memory cards so you won't have to delete any photos to fit more on. Or, invest in a high-capacity
card (2GB or above).

-
An extra is also handy because many digital cameras use the same format memory card. Keep an extra
in case family or friends fill their cards up. You can share photos later on.

Bring along a tripod |
 |

|
 |
It may not seem like a necessity right now. But it's practically guaranteed you'll use a tripod at least a few
times on your trip (for slow exposure night shots, for example).
And it doesn't have to be a big one. Tripods come in all sizes and are easily attached to a backpack or camera bag.

For almost any situation there's also the Gorillapod, a device with flexible limbs
that wraps around almost anything.

Take your photo printer with you |
 |

|
 |
HP compact photo printers are a great option for printing on the go - and they produce lab quality photos.
They can also serve as a storage device when you need to get photos off your memory card.

Can't find a place to plugin? No problem. Select HP portable photo printers use an
optional battery pack
for complete printing freedom. You can even buy a custom carrying case
to make transporting your printer even easier.
